Shecter Ultra VI, E standard tuning one octave below (sitting in the octave between standard guitar and standard bass), 21-80 guage strings. It's fun, versatile, and I have butcher blocks for hands, so, easy to play, personally speaking.

I've run into intonation and action issues with trying to play c standard on the shorter scale. i found that if i switched to my mahogany super strat (kramer beretta) with a floyd rose as my doom guitar it worked much better. it doesn't conform to the image. but my les paul is now my e standard guitar .i kinda feel like doom guitarists have it backwards? even looking up which scale length is better for down tuning always says the longer the scale length the better? my next doom prospect will be a kramer assault with a floyd, they have a 25.5" scale. so my super strat can go back to metal core and death metal. the les paul just is a perfect e standard blues machine, or drop d is so fun with the short scale, imo. my next doom prospect will be a kramer assault with a floyd, they have a 25.5" scale and the floyd keepws things less floppy. so my super strat can go back to metal core and death metal. the les paul just is a perfect e standard blues machine imo.

i've always been weary of pedals because i figured id be messing around with pedals more than actual playing lol. but, i just got my first tube screamer from my pops(at 33 years old). An i was spoiled becuase it was already modded. and its the only pedal i own. i love it, an i am now going down the rabbit hole of pedal addiction that i was weary of at the beginning xD

I have only recently started exploring fuzz pedals. I grew up on distortion and heavy metal, thrash, and death metal, but I recently discovered doom/stoner metal, and this pedal sounds like something I would really like. I have a DOD Carcosa, which sounds heavy as hell, but this pedal sounds even heavier.

I wonder if this pedal has a secret switch like the behringer

My main metal guitar is a early 2000s Gibson SG Deluxe with a sweet translucent grey finish, Dunable Grizzly humbucker in the bridge and GHS Boomer strings.

Got-DAYUM, this thing!! This has got to be one of - if not THE - best distortion pedals you’ve made! The clipping options are excellent. Even though it’s not quite as gainy, I really dig the LED/germanium clipping mode and adding a boost was an excellent idea. (I prefer the same option on your Dronemaster.) The Superfuzz mode with the boost and LED’s sounds terrifying! (Honestly, there isn’t a bad sound in this thing) Chords on a bass are crazy heavy with it. Killer job as always, Jason! Cheers!

Even in C standard I use 10-48. 52 is too thick for me. I like the strings to not fight back too much.

I knew we'd get some Matt Pike riffage. Great sounding pedal.

IRs and Cab Sims in general are just not really productive for me. Often times I have to change the sound a lot and do a lot of post production. What sucks, because I want to make music and not be a recording technician for hours on end. So I tend to basically just use real amps for recording. It's much faster and statistically I get my sound done just in a better way. A simple SM57 and a good Speaker will sound better than some VST 100%!!! But if it's about getting something quickly recorded, then amp sims and IRs are a good option to get it done fast. However, tone wise I always couldn't achieve the same sound that I can get with my real amp (Gibson SG / Fender Strat -> Marshall JTM clone -> Orange 4x12 with Jensen 10 inch Speakers and G12 K100). Amazing Sound. The Amp Sim or IR could come pretty close to the real deal. And I sometimes recorded full songs that way. But then out of curiosity I began to record them side by side (amp sims and real amps). And the real amp recordings always had that special something. The noise was better. With that I mean that the noise sounded more pleasant. Furthermore, the room sound sounded real and authentic. And something about the interaction of pedals and a real amp is different. Pedals into an interface sound like shit.

A killer combo! My current rig is a rat clone into a musket (big muff variant) into the clean channel of a peavey standard and a sf300 into the effects channel.

A nice combination of fuzz circuits. Sounds gnarly.
